Thrax Marketing Art Process

Marketing images created for Dauntless, a free-to-play action RPG. In Unreal, I set up cameras, pose characters, add lighting, and adjust the environment to create attractive screenshots. Afterwards, I add VFX and paint-overs in Photoshop.

Initial sketches for the Thrax artwork. They were too complex for box art purposes, though. We wanted something simple and graphic enough to retain legibility in a busy digital storefront.

Marketing art for umbral Nayzaga, which was released at the same time as Thrax. Since this piece wouldn't be used as box art, it didn't go through as much process work as the Thrax image. It was simply captured in Unreal and painted over in Photoshop.
